Am I Weird?

This whole 1950s retro debate about contraception is universally framed as an issue of women's health vs. religious freedom or something like that. It seems to me that there is a certain percentage of the male population -- vanishingly small, it seems, and not worth mentioning -- who like having sex with women who they like and care about, and only want to make babies by mutual agreement. Do we not vote? If you prick us, do we not bleed?

You're not weird, except in your desire to have the current state of politics make any sense whatsoever. You're going to have to give that up.

this discussion -- i'm being polite in that characterization, since i am a total slut who has used birth control, and thus unworthy of a say -- is teh weird.

but yeah, maybe every man i've ever met has not intended to procreate every time. y'all don't get called sluts, and have your parents called out for raising evil children because you are calling for basic health care, and y'all aren't blamed for all of humanity's problems due to your slutliness.

Granted, but my point is, this is not exclusively a women's issue.
